Why should you control moisture levels in the basement?

Moisture supports the growth of fungi (mold and mildew) which in turn pollute the air and cause odours and allergies.

Molds and mold spores are naturally present in the outdoor environment around us. However, indoor mold growth can become a serious problem if the source of moisture is not controlled.
