We have a sump pump that goes constantly my concern is that if the power goes out like the other night I want something that I can count on to keep the pump going

We recently moved to this location and were not informed of water problems in the basement. Any time it rains, the sump pump runs about 5 or 6 times per hour. There is no back-up systems, so if there ever was a power failure, it wouldn't take long to have flooding in the basement.

I think my foundation floor is being undermined. I found a crack in my floor and 2 cracked windows. I have concerns that the water is not getting away from my foundation. I thik the drainage is plugged around my home as my sump pump never runs but never did from the house being built. Thank You Steve.

Our sump pump failed on two different occasions (overworked) and have had a few power outages this year, we also don't have Avery good place for the water to exit.

Original owners installed sump which discharges to the side of the house (house is not on municipal water). I suspect water is just flowing through the ground back to the foundation. I'm interested in rerouting flow to the drainage ditch at the front of the house near the road. This would involve some excavation and laying a drain pipe through the front yard. It may also involve installing a new sump as the current location makes routing to the front of the house inconvenient.
