Buying a very old home (1850s) that has significant problems. Unfinished crawl space, dirt/rock floor. Wooden support beams are cracking, partly due to supports being removed as well as softening due to moisture in crawl space. Water damage to floor joists in front corner of house in crawl space. not sure how much of this is within your scope, but we need to solve the problems of the water getting to the joists, replace the damaged wood, reinforce the support beams, and then seal out the moisture. Good Morning, We had a bit of water come into our basement about a week ago, and have since removed the items on the wall, the dry wall and insulation and have found that there is a vertical crack going from the top of the basement to the floor. This looks to be outside as well. The crak is about 2-3 mm and maybe half a centimetre in the biggest part. I was looking to get a quote or have someone look at this.
