This type of sump pit is common in country settings. The pit is poured at the same time as the concrete floor. This is a problem because it does not allow water from under the floor to seep into the sump pit. This causes pressure under the floor and in most cases, it will crack the floor.

Ken B bought a house in Fenwick, ON that had floors that were out of level and needed some support. Luckily the previous owner had contacted a P. Eng that had a office next door to draw up a plan. Keith  from Omni Basement Systems had worked with the previous owner and knew what to expect. Omni installed a supplemental beam that support several floor joists in the house and SmartJacks from Supportworks to support the supplemental beam. Once this was installed, the adjustable SmartJack system could be adjusted and the floor leveling could be achieved.

Would like to know if you do weeping tile inspections and flushing/cleaning? I have recently had a few floods through he windows wells and I am now getting quite a bit of dirty water coming into my sump pump hole.
