Dirt floor
This dirt floor contributes to moisture which will create mold and smells.
Raking and leveling
Before we begin, we have to rake and level the dirt floor.
Old sump pump
The poor quality sump system will be replaced with the Supersump.
Supersump
This sump system features the Zoeller cast-iron pump, a waterwatch alarm and an airtight floor drain.
Drainage matting
The first layer is drainage matting. This will keep and water to the sump and also will protect the vapor barrier.
Cleanspace vapor barrier
The Cleanspace vapor barrier is insatlled over the drainage matting. This layer is 20 mil thick and consists of 7 layers.
Sealed and attached to the walls
He top is attached to wall with fasteners through the 3 layers of cord and then sealed so moisture will not escape.
Sump under the entrance
A great location for the sump system. The sump is easily accessed at the entrance to the crawlspace.
