Blocks falling
These block were put in place to support the floor but They have fallen and are not supporting anymore.

2X4 in dirt
Another poor attempt to support the floor

Rusty pipe.
What can I say about this? This is supposed to be supporting a floor that people are are walking over.

Marks for creativity.
Combination of different materials to achieve support.

Mold
Moisture will cause mold to grow. It is not always black.

Sistering
The floor joists have been sistered but they are not connected to anything. The only thing that is holding them is the failed joist that they are attached to.

Attempt to seal
Foam was put in cracks to attempt to seal the blocks

Supplemental beam
The first beam is installed under the joists. THis is a fully galvanized beam so it is protected from rust.

Smartjacks and base
A large aluminum base is installed on the floor and the Smartjacks will support the beam.

Drainage matting
Drainage matting is added to the floor to protect the Cleanspace and make sure there are no pooling of water,.

Cleanspace
Cleanspace is a 20 mil. 7 layer thick liner that gets attached and sealed to the walls

ON the walls
The Cleanspace goes up the walls and is attached using fasteners.

Bright white
The now dry crawlspace is bright white with available lighting and easy to crawl around on with no danger of injury from sharp objects on the floor.

New floor hatch
A larger entry way from the floor was opened up to get workers and the products in. There is the new frame for the hatch cover.

Hatch cover
This will cover the crawlspace entry

Vent cover
It is important to seal off all outside air. The old way of thinking was to vent the crawlspace to keep air flowing to make it dry. Unfortunately, This will only draw in moist air from the ground and rot your building materials.
