Not all crawlspace are dirt floor. In this one, the floor is regular concrete. This was waterproofed just the same as a basement would be with the patented drain system called WaterGuard and a new sump system called SuperSump.
Dillon in Port Dover, on need to upgrade his sump pump. His house had an old pit that was made out of formed concrete. The problem with that style is that it does not allow any water under the floor to get into the pit and get pumped away. After time, water pressure can build up under the floor and cause heaving in the basement floor.
Omni Basement Systems installed the Supersump with the Ultasump battery back-up system. The ultra sump will protect the home owner if the power goes out or the main pump fails.
Sunel in Guelph, ON, wanted a better and more reliable sump system with a better backup. Omni Basement Systems installed the incredible Triplesafe sump pump system. The Triplesafe features three pumps in one sump location. Two of the pumps are A.C.-driven, cast-iron Zoeller pumps. The third pump runs off a 12-volt D.C. power supply. A control box charges the power supply and monitors the system. There is also a test button to make sure the D.C. pump is running well.

Jason & Kim T. had a damp unhealthy crawlspace in Puslinch, on. Omni Basement systems inspected the crawlspace and recommended an encapsulation process. This proces involves covering the dirt floor with an impenetrable vapor barrier. First, all organic materials and debris have to be removed and the dirt floor leveled. Once this is done Omni can apply the Cleanspace drainage matting and the Cleanspace liner.
The Cleanspace liner is a 20 mil thick liner that is tear resistant and mold resistant. This liner will stop any moisture from coming out of the dirt and into the air space. Next thing to do is to dehumidify the air.
