Before the jacks are installed a footing is opened up in the ground.

The engineer designed the footing to be over 24"

A 36" base plate is installed to support the load
Jack
The jack posts are set in place.
Joiner
A bracket is used when there is a joint in the beam.

Differ brackets are used depending if it is joint or under the beam
Specified Beam
I just want to point out that the beam here is not our product but what is specified by the engineer.
Joint
Because the joint needs to be support a special bracket is used.
Insulation.
because this area is expose to the cold weather, the engineer specified that the footing has to be frost protected.

When there is no joint, a square plate is used to support the beam.
