Saadiq has a home in Niagara falls and the foundation has settled. To stop any further settlement, Omni Basement Systems installed the Push Pir system from Supportworks. Push piers are galvanized steel tubes that are connect to the foundation with a bracket then the tubes are pushed down til they hit bedrock or ground supporting strata. The piers are monitored for pressure every 2 feet to meet the required pressure by the engineer. Once they all are at the depth that will support the home, they are capped off. THe push pier system is used to supplement the foundation.

Bracket attached

A hole is dufg to teh footing and a bracket is attached to the footing and foundation wall

Pier bracket and drive stand

the drive stand is mounted to the pier bracket and the grey cylinder is used to hydraulically push the pier tubes.

Piers capped off

Once the pier tubes rached the desired pressure, (depth is determined by the pressure and not depth) the piers can be capped off so they wont move.

Frost protection

Because these piers are very close to the surface, insulation is used for frost protection.

Holes are filled

Once all the piers are in place, they soil can be put back again. The Piers will remain under ground for the life of the home.
