Grout added tot he wall.
Before we attach the Carbon Armor to the wall, the bottom blocks are core filled with grout to strengthen the wall. Also the Wall is ground down to remove any paint or dirt sot hat the epoxy will go right into the pours of the concrete blocks.
ArmorLock
The Armorlock is attached to the joist header and the carbon fiber is epoxied tot he block.
Carbon fiber
The Carbon Armor can now be epoxied to the blocks. The Epoxy is rolled onto the blocks and a layer is added to the carbon fiber and then finally the epoxy is added to the wall and the carbon fiber once it is on the wall.
4 foot spacing
The 7" strips are installed approximately 4' apart. Te funnel on the wall is used top add the grout to the cavities of the hollow blocks
Footings for Smartjacks
A hole is opened up and concrete will be added below the floor to act as a footing.
Landscape cloth
teh Landscape cloth separates the dirt from the gravel
Gravel & footing
gravel is added to the 2x2x2 foot footing. This engineered footing will distribute the weight through something called the "Bulb of Influence"
Cgavanized post added
A large baseplate goes on the gravel and the galvanized post is added.
Finished posts
THe Smartjacks are connected to the main beam and adjusted. The floor can be re-concreted at this point.
