Foundation Repair Photo Album: Adding floor support to an old home in Woodstock, On

Ana has an old brick foundation home with jack posts that were bending under stress. They were not designed for the weight that they were installed under. Omni Basement Systems added floor support with the SmartJack XT support system. The floor was opened and a base was insatlled under the floor then large galvanized posts were installed and adjusted.

Floor is opened for base

A 2x2x2 foot base is opened up and gravel is compacted under the floor. The cube of gravel creates something called the "Bulb of Influence" This bulb under the floor will distribute the weight in every direction to support the weight.
