Poor supports
Concrete blocks can sink over time and the wood shims at the top are not adjustable
Makeshift supports
These bricks piled up are not a good way to support.
Base for Smartjacks
A whole is dug in the earth and gravel will be added to distribute the weight.
Gravel and aluminum footer
gravel is added to the whole which will distribute the weight. Then a large aluminum foot plate is added.
Connection to beam.
The clamps are temporary and will hold the post in place so proper fasteners can be applied.
Drainage matting
The drainage matting is installed this will keep any moisture from being trapped in one area and will also protect the other products from stones when crawled on.
Insulation installed
An insulation which is sandwiched between vapor barriers id laid over the drainage matting.
Cleanspace vapor barrier
THe Cleanspace barrier is 20mil, 7 layers thick. This will prevent moisture from coming out of earth and into the air envelope of the crawlspace. This will protect the building materials and make the home smell better.
Sealed Cleanspace
The Cleanspace is sealed against walls and any supports.
Completely sealed crawlspace
This vapor barrier called Cleanspace, completely sealed all damp areas.
Smartsump
The earth was graded to the center of the room and any ground water goes down into the sump system. The Smartsump features a sealed lid and a high water watch alarm.
Discharge with Iceguard.
The Iceguard on the discharge line will help prevent a frozen discharge line.
