Typical wall crack.
This is the most common area to see a wall crack. At the bottom of the window.
Step 1
First step is to open up the floor around the crack.
Drainage foam
The crack is first filled with a flexible sealant. This is the first line of defense. Next is a drainage foam, just in case any water gets past the flexible sealant, the water will drain down into the gravel bed.
Flexible sealant.
It is important that the any water that gets past the sealant gets drained down so we put a flexible sealant over the drainage foam. THis way no amount of water will end up in your walls or floor.
Vinyl membrane and drainage matt.
A vinyl membrane is attached and sealed over the entire area. At the bottom, a drainage matting is placed over the footing to make sure no water is stuck on the footing and not find it's way to the gravel bed below.
Floor re-concreted
After all the layers are installed, the floor is concreted back to original level.
