I just thought I'd like to write to tell you that after the horrendous amount of rain the other day, our basement is dry!

Even with the high water table here.

I can usually hear the main pump going, but with along with the ensuing 2 hour power failure in Grimsby, all I heard was the float alarm which ran continuously during that time.
Terrified, we went downstairs with a flashlight and started to move boxes off the floor as we were sure the battery had failed and we would be flooded.
I could not hear the other pump at all, and wondered why no water was coming in the basement after all.
I went outside with the flashlight and saw a continuous stream of water pouring out into the trough, and realized the system really was all working to keep up with the volume.
And as soon as the power came back on, the main pump kicked in right away. What a relief!

Would you also kindly thank George for us please. He came a while back to fix the membrane on that one problem section, and it also held nicely...everything was dry.

I'm sure you have been quite busy this week, but thought I should email you with a good news story Jocelyn.
